Default Loch Beannie Today

A few of us ventured up to the wee quiet hill loch of beannie today, 2 fishing from the tube and 3 from the bank.
A great days sport and a bonny we place to spend a cracking day!

Hi All .... just 'registered', and was having a quick look around ... this Piccy above looks suspiciously like my "Postie" ... ( the man, nae the troot ! ).. and I was talking to him the other day and he said he was going to Loch Beannie, so it may well be him !

Anyways... nice to be here, and look forward to a good season ahead...

Tight lines all,

Ed.

Thank you for posting that. It’s amazing what you find on these forums if you just look. I had not realised that loch held such good fish. Eleven of my ledgering, buckie swilling pals from Calton will be up there soon for a weekend on the back of this thread. It’ll make a fine change from Loch Earn. Thanks again Bigtroot!

Great ! I thought it looked familiar !
Loch beannie is 'almost home territory' for me originally, but I'[ve been up in Aberdeenshire since 94.
There's another two 'not that far' away which are worth the treck, but I've nae done ot for years ... Loch Vrotachan, and Loch Benachally.
I can't say for sure of they are still fished... they used to see the odd fly now and again though !

If you are talking to the Postie, tell him the lad fae Hatton thats a member at Corby, saw his photie !

Cheers again,

Ed

Beannie is a lovely place and it is a fine steep walk in but a £10 for all the
1/2lbers you can smoke is a bit much for me. If I lived closere and might get the season ticket and just have a few casts everytime I was out walking in the hills.
