Talking get one get one free

i caught these after struggling for most of the day with the wind howling at me down river, casting a single dry fly was nigh on impossible,so i decided to use a klink and weighted ptn in hope that it would straighten the leader enough to get some kind of presentation,
then as i approached the bottom of a fast run of water i could see a trout rising
a cast was attempted and no sooner had the klink hit the water it was engulfed,
the average size of the trout in this river are around 8-10 inch so i thought i was in for something special as what i thought was a good trout leading me a right merry dance turned out to be two chub, one on the ptn and one on the klink,
what a struggle that is trying to land two fish on the same line,
great fun though, they where quickly photographed and returned safely,

anyone else experienced this

Ive had 3 young trout on the same line and its just the same feeling you get when you hook ,multiple mackerel.

I had 2 trout on the same cast when fishing spiders on the Usk yesterday. The first was about 10 inches on the middle dropper which I was able to shake off quickly and the other was a pounder on the point. I got them both. It is very tricky and I nearly hooked myself on one of the flies when releasing the smaller fish. This is not a common experience for me but it usually happens at least once each season.

Well done Paul, you had a better day than us, the wind was horrendous, and we went onto bugs, but too late in the day.
TC caught one and I lost one.

I got three on the same line at Hanningfield a few weeks ago......left a few brown streaks in my trousers as I thought I had a big un on for a few seconds. Luckily I had 8lb leader on

Still, I think 2 chub beats 3 trout anyday - well done!

Hmmm - I dunno.
I once hooked six decent mackerel fishing the Minch off Barra and they nearly had me overboard!
