Default Monday on the lake

I phoned up the lake the other night after talking my dad into taking me fishing and booked a father and son boat for today(monday) only £22 which is a bargain ! On the way up it looked as if it would be a very hard day, the big ball in the sky was out and hardly any wind at all, In the car park i decided i would go out and try to fish the buzzers... Something new to me that i always fancied doing.
I set off with my midge tip on , mosaic booby and 2 buzzers we started a drift at tods hole but with no wind it was hard going and someone cut our drift up so we decided we would head somewhere else. My dad suggested the cages and i agreed and had a munch on the way up lol before we got there i had changed my booby for a blob and straight away i hooked into a nice fish in the flat calm.

My dad then caught 2 fish in the same area within 5 mins of each fish on the buzzers

after only getting pulls and not landing any more fish we then moved over to the heronry / sandy bay area and straight away ma dad gets 2 fish in 2 casts including a really nice blue. we stayed here for the rest of the day as there where fish. I only got a photo of the blue , and another of my dads rod bent as it was all day.. i had alot of fish too catch and unhook etc.

overall it was a really good day, we ended up with 18 fish to the boat , i got well and truly humped 12-6 but at least i learned how to fish the buzzers and this was a great day regarding the conditions.
