Erm, no idea who the guys in the photos were - unwitting subjects for me, I have to admit. However, I don't think their flies were outsize. Try doing a perspective on them against their facial features - probably just 10 longshanks or thereabouts?

Lovely pics.

Did you see any evidence of the Pike spawning yet? Take it it went back ok?

For sure - my boat partner never even delayed it for a photo - went back without even coming aboard. No other piky incidents, though a couple of other guys in our our club caught similar sized fish.

Here's another of them...

Girlycats

They were in the right place at the right time for a snap. Didn't ask them to sign a model release form!

They "were in the right place at the right time" I think they had 37 fish between them!. The Grizzlecats( thats their club name ) averaged around 10 fish per man. Pretty good considering the conditions were not the best moderate/strong NW wind and it felt ( with the wind-chill) about 4 or 5 degrees.

Aye, there was no shortage of fish, for sure! Not deep either, despite the conditions. 'On the hang' with a slime line was a good bet.
