Default A strange one

HI all

Had a fish on the Welsh Wye today, several out of season grayling on a dry, I was wondering were all the trout were, up came this fish, must be an escapee from some where, it went like the clappers as well, bit of a suprise.

Hi All.

Got to be honest I havent killed a river fish in as long as I can remeber, I did think to my self you don't belong here but it gave me a great scrap so I slipped him back, as you say the odd one shouldn't be a problem, he might not be so lucky the next time someone catches him.

That's a lovely looking rainbow Andrew. I bet that shocked you when you netted it.

I am certain that any system can put up with a few escapee stockies. Especially a river the size of the Wye.

Cheers,

Hi Dave.

I have had a few shocks in he Wye, monster chub, suprise shad and a sea lamprey last year, I think it was foul hooked around the head, didn't want to get that close to it, face only it's mother could love

The rainbow was a bit of a shock, went well by the way like the blog, some lovely tied flies.
