The Ure last year on a very wet day with Stuart Minnikin guiding me. Just experimenting really to see if I could post a picture!

Nice trout!
How did you find the Ure? I have access to some water very close to the MAC water, but haven't had chance to fish it properly yet.....

That's a superb Trout, lovely golden colour, my late father fished the Ure a lot as a young man, I have never fished it. Must remedy that before too long.

Sorry to barge in on yer thread Marxach, but do you, or anyone else who reads this ever come across a certain Mr Alan Keech? Casting instructor and cane rod enthusiast, used to use them on the Ure... if it wasn't raining

I still think its brilliant how each river has different looking brown trout , beautiful fish

For me thats one of the main reasons why i enjoy trout fishing - colours, marking patterns- oh yes sometimes they taste nice too!

the ure is a cracking river,i remeber when a friend and i fished the river cover(tributary of the ure) and witnessed a cracking brownie just short of 5lb coming out of it with the biggest kype i have ever seen on a fish,a stunning fish it was indeed ,i do have a picture of it somewhere must find it and scan it !

Masham Angling Club water. Stuart is a member and he was guiding me. It was a wet and windy day and the Ure was just about fishable, there was some interesting wading! We ended up with 8 I think, this was the best - it savaged a big klinkhammer as we fished the duo.
