Default Maximum Effort!

I know it's nothing to do with fly fishing but I just love the effort on this guy's face. I didn't take it, I think I cut it out of the Angling Times.

It is a shot of Trevor Prince and Dick Downes one time holders of both the UK porbeagle and thresher shark records. They are stuck into another 300lb shark off the Isle of Wight on what is definitely "stand up and fight" gear.

Well I think we can safely say dignity goes out of the window when you hook a fish that size!

Looks like he's having a job just staying in the flippin boat!!

I see what you mean but those guys were barely out of short trousers when this photo was taken.

The 'elf & safety brigade would have a field day with that one - what's wrong with a good pair of non-slip deck shoes?!

I like this picture, while the guy on the right very much steals the show I just laughed at the guy on the left.

Look at him. Its like he's saying 'Ooooohhh' and Im just thinking this could turn in to a very camp captioni competition
