Ok mate... I'm feeling kinda sorry for you. 76 hours after posting the pic of your heroic kill, so delightfuly photographed, and not a murmur from the rest of the gang. You look a bit autistic anyway, which would explain your lack of forethought, and will aslo mean that you don't have any feelings for me too hurt.

Look, bottom line... people on here don't crave pictures of dead fish, any fish, let alone wild browns. Yes, the forum faithful are by and large a sick, sad, perverted and depraved bunch, but they manage to keep their sleazery at home, private, and echange any dubious images via email...but that seldom involves fish. 'Tripe' (nudge nudge) occasionally, but rarely fish.
When was the last time you saw a stiffed out wild brownie on the cover of 'Nuts' ? Exactly. Wouldn't sell. So what makes you think this lot of lascivious reprobates would go for it?
What they do crave is images of wild brownies being lovingly and gently slipped back into the drink... glistening like they've just been oiled up, and with a cheeky little tickle and/or an 'accidental' stroke of the trout's toilet area. Oops!... careless index finger. In the backgound we like to see sellophane flowers, tangerine trees and marmalade skies... it makes for a nice juxtaposition with the ****-head that's holding the fish.
The members love all that stuff. Post a few pics like that and you'll have more replies than Michael Howard, friends for life, and a clear conscience

To be fair, I don't think any on here would demand or even expect you to release EVERY wild fish that you catch. This is GAME fishing, it's called that for a reason. However, for many ecological and political reasons, the trend nowadays is towards catch and release of wild fish. Stick to the rules though, exercise restraint, respect your quarry, and nobody has any right to get on your back.

Further to the pictures... a stiffed out fish, stockie or wild, on newspaper, a paving slab, or in the kitchen at Fawlty Towers has no context, and more to the point the fish has no dignity. If you must furnish us with piccies of yer conquests, then at least give the fishes life a bit of purpose. Marmalade skies... nice Loop reel and Sage handle box of flies, and reet old tale of battling for an hour up and down the white water.... and lie about why you had to kill it

Wow! That fish is so big its head and tail don't fit on the photo!!

Mind you, I wouldn't mind a fondle of its.....er, toilet area.

Brilliant stuff!

In all fairness, the setting is obviously a kitchen, which is more that appropriate for a taken fish. Hope it tasted good.

I'm with scratch on this one, they look so much better when their alive. Thats like these people who go to a wake and see the corpse and say, oh he looked well, how the **** would he, he's dead. Dead wild trout look like **** and I for one don't like pics of them.

I wouldnt knock the guy for taking the odd fish, but don't be complaining Cod Dodger, "That there are no fish in this place", if your fishery starts going downhill.

It takes quite a while for a wild brownie to get to that size, so its a bit disappointing it's no longer in the river or lake.

Also, a Salvation Army soup kitchen doesn't make for the best background.

Hi CD. I take it you took it from Henmore Brook around Ashbourne? Can you tell me whose water were you fishing?

FFS guys, wild trout ain't exactly rare and are unlikely to become endangered in the British Isles - get off your high horses for a minute and actually listen to yourselves. Why shouldn't the odd wild fish, be it trout, grayling or whatever be taken for the pot? As for the picture, yes it has no context, nor does it have any redeeming feature aesthetically in my view, but that is a separate issue.
