Yes. The issue is the software I am using to make the website for the photo is doing too fancy a job. Won't give me a simple page with a reference-able photo file.

Tah. That I can do easily but I didn't go far enough in this instance! (My camera is 16.7Mp) The fly's a bit of a mess but I am getting them better. I'm following Charlie Craven's instructions. I have one of his flies here in front of me also. His is unbelievably perfect. The tips of the elk hair line up beautifully and the butt ends look like they've been cut with a bandsaw - even though they're cut before they're tied in! These macro photos are very unforgiving. I've got a lot more respect for people who do picture perfect step-by-steps now!

Cheers

Steve

That's a jolly fine tying mate... any better and you wouldn't want to fish with it.

Looks pretty good from here too. I might be inclined to trim another fraction of a mm or so off the hair before tying it in (or just bead up the stump a little with thread, if it doesn't flare much on tying in) just to make sure it's a little less busy around the eye, but that's about it. You seem to have the amount of hair about right for my tastes too - they're often a bit thin on hair for my liking.

Great fly anyway.
