looks a bit like Kylemore lough or Lough Inagh in Connemara.

But its probably Derriana at the top of the system in Waterville

Great system with Lough Currane Namona and the Cummeragh river all great.

Hope im right.

You got it OO, it's Derianna.

Looks so peaceful and unthreatening, but the weather up there can change in an instant. Came very close to ending up in the drink on that far shore.

I know mate. I was on Currane with a local guide a few years ago, in quite calm condition. A weather front came in from the ocean, literally within seconds and we got caught out in hugh waves.

The fact that the Lough is so close to the sea has something to do with it.
