Default Mayfly pic

Been sorting through some pics for my site, thought you'd like to see this one of a mayfly that crawled out of it's shuck on the table where I was having dinner.

Hi' , Nice picture, Darren. I have studied ephemerids for a long time, but I never cease to be amazed at the length of the forelegs of male spinners, compared to their length in the dun stage. I am straining my eyes to see claspers under the bum end of your subject. Was it a male? Terry C

Thinking about it, it must be female from the size of the eyes.

Yep, first pic could be, Darren, but I think the eyes are a bit big for a lady. I'd risk five 'bob' it's a male, it's got lo-o-ong fore legs. Jimmy's, two female Green Drakes, one male Grey Drake. Lovely picture, Jim. Well done, all. TC
