Very nice indeed. I love perch. Would really like to catch one on the fly.

englander ,

get your self to larbert loch !! its only 5 mins from you ! 1 of the swims is fly fishable but if you get your waders on you can fly fish the whole thing for pike and perch its only 2-3ft deep !!

fossil, i caught one at moorbrook on a black buzzer just before they removed the coarse fish from it.......it was a specimen perch

Specimen or not, that is a very beautiful little fish. I think the markings and colours are always more vivid from clear waters. Fish do not need to be big to be stunning. Nothing as bright, silvery and beautiful as a 50p sized skimmer bream.
