Default Thanks to Terry and Dave

Hi' Especially to Terry Phillips and Dave Wiltshire who gave me some good advice before I bought my DSLR. Here are a few pics of my local stillwater, Blencarn Lake, which has Cross Fell, the highest mountain in the Pennine chain, as a backdrop. The shots are roughly panoramic view of the lake from the lodge end to the distant, Rigg Bay. 15acres in total. Sorry about the changing light quality. Terry C
PS The 'pretty' pics are on Trout forum.
Sorry, one hasn't loaded.

Bet your glad you bought that camera now Terry.
I forget sometimes just what a glorious area we live in, and how lucky we are.

Hi' Steven, it's just a pity that I made a pig's dinner of uploading the shots, one hasn't opened. Perhaps someone can advise as to the reason. If I'd known that our weather was going to be like today's, I'd have rung you about a trip out. TC

Has your arm recovered already from that 3lb one at Blencarn. )
Only 13 days before I depart for sunnier climes.
I have got some swingtips now if you fancy a day at our private lake.

To Kconi, You are both a gentleman and a scholar, sir, and I thank you for your help. I bought a PentaxK200D, because I already had a Pentax MX and the more upmarket LX, which meant that I had an assortment of lenses, including a Tamron 90mm portrait lens and spacer that gives 1:1 macros. The Nikon and Canon equivalents get a better 'press' but I'm quite happy with the Penty.
Steven, Give us a shout and we'll have a swinging session! I'll have to see if my old, home-made, bite-and-run electronic indicator still works -- that could be a laugh. I think it beeps and glows. Terry, Cheers both!

Lovely photos Terry, beautiful part of the country. How can anyone not like the Autumn when it brings out colours like those.

Just wish I could step into the photographs and start fishing.

Looking forward to seeing your next set, perhaps some rivers in frost may not be to far in the distant future if the forecast is anything to go by.

Regards,
Terry
