Default Studio lights

I hope no one minds my asking on this forum, but does anyone know where I can buy a replacement bulb for a lamp in the Konig Portable Photo Studo set? A replacement from BandQ was same wattage, but not colour corrected, and it shows on images that I posted today on the 'Trout forum. Cheers, TC

Hi Terry

You could try on this forum to see if anyone else has asked the same:

Hope that helps

Terry

You won't believe this, I gave a whole load (including lights) away a couple of months back.

If you are not in a hurry and can let me know the wattage, I'll see if I can pick one for you. I should be in Penrith soon so will be able to pass it to you if I am successful. I'm presuming it is the screw fitting?

In the meantime - you could use a correction filter if you have one.

Default Studio light bulbs

Hi' Stewart, thanks for the kind thought, but no, the contacts on the base of the bulb are like those on a 'starter' as used in tubular fluorescent lights, they're hanging down like little legs. How's that for being technical?? Cheers, Terry.

Could you not use the camera to photograph the bulb with any markings.

In the meantime (presuming that you are using that shiny new DSLR), could you not set the white balance to suit the bulb you have?

Just a thought.

Cheers, Stewart, I'll have to play with the camera a bit more. Still have a mind full of redundant lore regarding SLRs -- my old Pentax Mx and its upmarket mate, the LX. Thanks for the interest. Terry
