A few guys have been asking for details on Harlaw so thought I would give a wee report.
I had a great evening at Harlaw last night with my lad Steven.
We opted for the area past the dam wall, over the metal bridge heading to the narrow part of water where the water takes a bend.
There were a few other anglers on the far bank opposite, and to be honest I couldn`t believe we had this part of the water to ourselves considering it usually fishes well.

Plenty of fish moving in the shallows smashing into minnows only a few feet away.
Steven hooked into one using a Gold head Damsell, bizzare as they were stuffed with minnows.
We managed to hit fish most of the evening and lost a fair few, the other anglers on the far bank seemed to be doing well too, so the fish were well distributed.

A wee bonus was bumping into Celebrity chef Nick Nairn, who was up doing some kind of filming, I`m sure he does something for Landward so must look out for it this week.

Anyway managed to chat to him and must say he was a really friendly guy who seemed interested in the fishing, and was more than happy to pose for a picture with us.

All in all Harlaw is fishing really well at the moment, and is well worth a visit.
I prefer to fish it in the evenings purely for that magic hour before sunset, which can be truly stunning up here.
For £10.00 a session which can last all day if you want, this has to be best value fishing in the Lothians.
