Default Tubing on the Earn

Click the image to open in full size.
Me and my mate engalnder were tubing on the Earn today what a horrible day weather wise but fishing was great. Englander landed 5 bows and lost a further 5 or 6. I landed 3 and lost 5 or 6 again including a big double figure that snapped my braided loop clean off. Did however land this bow at just over the 4lb mark. It took a size 12 Kate McClaren with a high viz tail on the dropper and lead me a merry dance. Float tubing is the way forward amazing sport. Whats more when gutting the fish it was full off pellets so that begs the question why did it take the fly ????

Errr.... it took the fly cos it moved mate. All Rainbows are born with an agressive streak, farmed or wild. Takes the stockies a while to wise up though.

I don't believe it.

Well done.

Hi Guys

Well done mate ..................who tied the fly that tempted "the beast"

Yes good day out mate Loch Earn seems like "Rainbow soup". I sat off Mcgregors point, just kept hitting fish after fish ! Water was real high, the point and beach in the bay were under ?? feet of water complete with freshly drowned ewe !

How did it feel to beat me ...................it happens so rarely

Yes we are happy to do our bit for brown trout and salmon conservation never knew conversation could be so tasty and fun

Englander
