Ok so with all the local rivers doing a good 'noahs ark' impression ive been reminicing over the summers fishing.
The highlights for me were an awesome day on the welsh dee in may/june over 10 brownies with one 2lbs+ fish,my 2nd best dee brownie.
my first fly caught wrasse taken in june from a rockmark near holyhead,it took an orange ipn.
and a few bait caught ones taken in august fishing the same rock mark and one close by with my housemate we had over 90 fish between us(ballan wrasse + pollack) in 2 days fishing.
a few days chasing salty sea trout in shetland, they were only small ones but still great fun.
Also had quite a few days fishing the river ceriog for trout,on the tees catching chub and grayling and a few sinful outings stockie bashing at put n takes.
What were the highlights of your summers fishing?hope ya had a good one.
Right im off to tie some peeping caddis hopefully there will be a plenty more good days fishing before the years out.
take it easy
