Default NW Scotland Part 1

Got back from my week away at the folks house just south of Lochinver on Saturday ( just moved house so got internet back tonight). and I am still knackered

My wife and I drove up from Yorkshire on midnight Saturday, arriving there at lunchtime Sunday with a few stops on the way for fuel and dog walks. By 6 o'clock I was scuttling up the hills towards my favourite lochan.

The different lochs produce different colours of fish.

Decided to loch hop after a while to get a better breeze to keep the midges away

Wonderful stuff Plodge! Close scrutinisation of me map leads me to believe you may have been on Loch a Ghille (photo 5,6)?

Consider me envious!

Lovely, the lochs look similiar to the ones in Donegal. Can't wait for the next batcg.

We seek for slumbering trout
And whispering in their ears
Give them unquiet dreams;
Leaning softly out
From ferns that drop their tears
Over the young streams.
Come away, O human child!
To the waters and the wild
With a faery, hand in hand,
For the world's more full of weeping than you can understand.

Absolutely spot on It's a loch I always fish when I'm up there, even if I don't mean to. There are so many close together that it's almost easier to change your loch rather than your flies
