Smile hard fighting salmon from the kelvin

this is my first fish of the season which i keep for the mother inlaw all others will be returned..all caught on a black flying c with a red head and gold spinner..

I'm going to have to complain about this thread, I can stand it no longer. More and more on the forum I am seeing this and it has no place here!

No I'm not talking about the spinning, it's the Silver Tourist thing Whats wrong with "salmon" or north of the border "fish".

Where the hell did it come from. I think that floppy hatted carp botherer Chris Yates may be to blame but where ever it comes from can we please stop it now.

That's a great achievement catching one on the kelvin. Ive seen them down at those falls before, some big ones too.

Seriously though, did you have to kill it? Such rare fish on the river and surely every single one will help the kelvin along in it's recovery.

i do understand what you are feeling and i am getting to that point myself were im going to become as devoted to the life of these fish as some others i have met but i assure you their is enough salmon in the kelvin for myself to chap one for the mother inlaws table or i would not do it i assure you ,and i am learning to become as conservation minded as we all truly should be
