Default Three Day's on the Lower Deschutes

I took a few days off last month and headed down the Deschutes for a spot of trout fishing;

The Redwings were keeping an eye on me,

By the way, what model Hardy reel is on the cane rod?

They are superb pictures, what a great way to fish.
I have just returned from Montana, i have posted some pictures on my website see www.devonflyfisher.com and scroll down the page.
We did one float trip down the Upper Madison, originally planned for the Yellowstone but it was in flood from late spring run off.

It is the 1902 Wide Spool Perfect Limited Edition 31/4". The rod Is a Hardy Palakona 8' 5wt. Very happy with both of them.

Were you thinking of all the flies you could tie - when taking pics of the feathered friends

Nuts, forgot to ask: what part of the river did you run? You said the lower river but that would put out all the way down (almost) to the Columbia River.
