I am attaching some pictures of the recent Denil fishpass installation on the Coy burn at Crathes by the river Dee in Aberdeenshire. This will become a useful new spawning ground for salmon and sea trout and perhaps in 5 years time we may hope to see 80 salmon or so using this to access the spawning grounds which have not been accessible for over 200 years. The contractor Jim Thompson of Deeside construction did an excellent job with support from the bailiffs and River operations manager Edwin Third. This was funded by the CASS life project.

The fishpass is not too obtrusive
