Cracking photo Jim. Just wish you'd stop making me jealous of the scenery you have around you though

The man upstairs must have seen you coming Jim and decided to light the way

Cracking photo. Just shows that there is another meaning in Scotland to "the heavens opened...." that doesn't involve getting drookit!

A fine view of Buachaille Jim, I think it must be the most scenic route in the uk.

And apart from a bit of rain on the sunday,it was the driest SSDT(Scottish Six Days Trial)(Scottish PRE-65 Trial) i can ever remember with no rain till the following saturday night, and a dry run home on the sunday. so the ray of light was a portend to good things to come.

Nice picture Jim. We had to make a few photo stops on the same route that Saturday. Didn't know about the 6 day, and thought, 'blimey, what a lot of bikes!', when we arrived in 'Fort Bill'.

Here's my own 'ray of light' shot, taken from the Ross of Mull, where we camped. Looking towards Iona.

Sedgeking, was that taken Sunday? We came back through Ribblehead just after a cloudburst. Lots of flooding on the roads, and the route to Settle was impassable. Had to turn round and head for Ingleton near where some poor souls were having their cottage pumped out.

Red face Sorry Jim

Hi 3lbGrayling

I'm sorry....I did mean to compliment you on your picture and wasn't looking to steal your thunder......it really was just to say it really is awesome and you HAVE to stop and watch

Curlewcall

I too traveled down on Sunday (from fishing the Annan) and saw nothing like your description.....Just showing how localized these events can be.

The photo I posted was from a glorious day (15th April) when I met this event on the A58 Rochdale to Ripponden road. Incidentally just near a spot where I nearly ran over a Red Deer last week (getting more like Scotland all the time)
P.S. ....Congrats on your first fly caught fish.....your well hooked now
