Default First wild brown trout

OK, I'm feeling very pleased with myself - caught my first wild brown trout today so I thought I'd show off.

Congrats Neil. Nothing beats it eh? That water looks a little familiar....

Thanks - thought it might look familiar My first time fishing it - some surprisingly deep holes in places - I need a shorter wading jacket

But, you're right - nothing beats it - sat here with a big grin on my face.

Nice one Neil. It's great to contact wild fish. Hope it put up a decent little scrap for you; they usually do.

Congrats Neil. Caught my first grayling on Friday and I was like a little kid for the whole weekend.

Nice fish.

Cheers,
SL

Thumbs up

Well done Neil,

My first Wild Brownie was my first ever Trout of any kind and my first ever fish of any kind caught on the fly all at once after 3 weeks self teaching (should of paid for a lesson or better beat). None the less i was jumping around shouting like mad holding this brownie (returned without harm) that could have been no bigger than 3oz but in terms of success it was huge.

I nearly split my face grinning.

A special moment. Congrats mate.

Mick.
