Default Exotic Fly Caught Fish

Fly Fishing on zambezi on Zambian side trying for tiger fish although no luck.

Cornish Jack (local name) caught on blood worm type fly lake Kariba Zimbabwe side. Was seriously humid that day as you can see from my sweat!!!

Daddy of the above although not caught on fly but on big bundle of live worms.

Squeeker, has razor sharp fins hence pliers as they thrash around and easily cut you.


Had a picture of some tiger fish caught by my mates but can't find it at the mo will post when i find it

What a strange looking fish, did you eat it, and if so what did taste like?

Non of us ate them although we did eat some bream out of Kariba, the locals ate the squeeker, they de-boned them, salted them and left them flesh up drying in the sun, not sure how they tasted. Oh yer and the reason they're called squeeker is that when you bring them out they make alot of gurgly squeeks !

Nice wee fish the Synodontis i uesd to have a tank in the living room full of them picked up in most of the uk aquarim shops from £2.00 to £25.00

Is that the proper name for the squeeker or the cornish jack?

HI yea its the family name for this type of small catfish squeeker there are thundreds of these little types of catfish including some that grow very big but great little aquarium fish
