Hi jimmy,

Fishing was good - 7 rainbows & the one brownie Ive since posted above - but it was very slow & deep - boobies / lures on the old Hi Di line....caught a 3lb rainbow on a boobie first cast (intuition) - the leeches told me where the rest were - yet around us down Butcombe Bay & along the Stones to the the dam they were fishing floaters & not catching....the hanging of a Diawl bach / buzzer is usless in those conditions. Felt more like early Jan than March - sat threw two lots of snow !

To answer your question - did a good study on the Northern most bits of Butcombe !!!! (A pint Butcombe Gold please - Ive heard some dodgy tales in the past about ......)

Best regards SF

I was fishing from the bank at Butcombe on sat.

I caught mine on the same boobies.

The wind was not to bad at butcombe at all quite pleasent in fact.

I agree, I can see by your photoes that it doesnt look like a day for doing anything subtle....

Having said that,I was out on Glencorse just outside Edinburgh on Saturday, and I was astounded to find some fish nipping freshly hatched buzzers right off the top.....the air temp was 1.5 degrees...

I fished Butcombe from the bank on Friday and like WCB, I found boobies on a DI 7 was the only way to go.

Lovely brownie by the way! :-)
