Dave, try Hazelnuts - they will go wild over them !

We had Greys battering the door down (literally pressing their noses against the glass to get inside for more Hazelnuts) and then coming into the house looking for Hazelnuts - Squirrels are cute creatures.

Nice pics.

They have black squirrels in Letchworth - don't see many of them either!

Red squirrels are cute and nice, grey squirrels are rats with bushy tails that should be shot on sight. Black squirrels are a colour variation not a separate species.

Hi Guys,
I was in Czech Republic a few years back in one of their
parks. I had some nuts in a bag and was feeding them
they where coming upto me and eating them out of my hands.
Both Red and Grey. We had a grey squirrell in the village, the only one
and one day the kitten brought it in through the cat flap.
I nearly killed the bloody cat. But on further examination it
looked as though it had been hit by i lorry whilst up in its
tree as it had a flat face. These massive lorries aren't meant
to come through the village at all there has been a special
thing put on them but because the polish who drive them live
in the village so they come and park up on the street
