This beautiful brown was caught on the Yellowstone River in September. Check out the incredible coloring of this fish. Guided by Trey ****, Yellowstone TroutScout Outfitter.

Default To Devonflyfisher - my response

I have known and worked with Matthew Long for several years and consider him to be a friend and a great person. But Devonflyfisher, the proof is in my pictures and in the quality of my website which demonstrates the quality of one of the finest fly fishing operations in Montana. So when you come out this summer, get ahold of me and we will discuss it over a beer.

Cheers

Then book ahead for the best stretches. We went for three weeks after "Labor Day" in September. We had been told it would be relatively quiet. The place was jammed with silver tourists/baby boomers. One or two outfittters could not provide a guide. What it must be like in July I can't imagine.

Anyone seeking the solitude of true wilderness fishing in that part of the world needs to head north of the border. You can spend three days on Southern Alberta's crowsnest river and not see a single human.
