Default What a rainbow should look like.

I caught this yesterday.

It's wild - from the Dove.

Fought like buggery.

About ten minutes later fishing was impossible.

Default Rainbows

Congratulations Alex

That is a real corker and gives me something to aspire to as I fish the Dove a lot. Be interested in more info if you'd care to share it with us .

Great fish, fantastic flank.
I caught a couple wildeys in the states, the flanks was not nearly that bright.
What time of year do rainbow trout spawn?

Its not a wild fish Alex. That is, it hasn't hatched from an egg laid in gravel by rainbow trout parents.
It's one of the best rainbow trout stockies I have ever seen though. Well done the R. Dove!
