One of the best I've seen for a long time especially if no filters or Photoshop were involved.

A great picture but it looks very much like a sepia effect has been added through photoshop or a filter has been used. Apologies if I'm wrong.

Thanks folks.

The shot was taken just off the harbour at the lake, indeed Quint witnessed me taking it. The sun was coming through the mist creating the effect.

It was taken with a Nikon D50 DSLR with a Sigma 70-300 lens. No filters were used on the camera.

It was processed through Capture 1 raw conversion software then finished in photoshop. A sepia filter wasn't used, merely a slight adjustment in white balance.

Hope this helps.

C'mon guys... filter or not, photoshop or not. Who cares? Why all the if's and but's? ....like yer being short-changed or something .... and like the 'original' must have been some kind of 'sow's ear'. In photography, you can not make a silk purse out of a sow's ear. It's the end result that counts, and what a result he got.

Does it matter that the 'Iwo Jima' picture was posed? Does it matter that Ansel Adams 'dodged and burned'?

If yer into your photography,I guess it's instinctive to suspect and look for any signs of photoshoppery....that's fine, but appreciate it and learn from it instead of moaning, then one day you might produce something of a similar calibre yourselves.
