When on holiday recently, the Wye was in flood so got a day ticket on the Elan and this Grayling taken on a Klink saved it from being a blank day.

Ex
That is some clear water you fish in.
I have noticed an distinct blue tinge to the underside of the fish south of the border, is it gentetic/breeding or just a trick of the camera?

Buzz

All the bigger ones I've seen in the southwest have been blueish underneath in autumn/winter, they seem to lose it in summer. They also have a distinctly grey blue tip to the nose when viewed from above while in the water, take them out and it vanishes
