Default My last day of the season pictures

Saturday was the last day of the season but managed to be the best I'd had on the river all year. It was a glorious day.

That memory should keep you going untill March.

I like the sign post too!

Its a sort of old season to the left and new season to the right type of thing.

Can you imagine. last day of the season and I only saw one other angler.

Mad.

Shame that there's no winter fishing allowed with grayling like that..

Great wee report and nice to see an Esk grayling. Is there no winter fishing? Like the WoL it seems a shame to miss out on the peak grayling time.

Sadly (?), there is no river fishing allowed.

Very nice pictures there - end of season pictures are always kind of poignant...though you could always stretch it to 31 October to try for one of the big back-end Esk salmon.

That would be fun on my 3 wt!!

I wouldn't know how so it would be a bit of a waste of my £10 a day.

Unless there's a bit of rain then don't suppose many will either.

I have seem some big fish at the falls, though not this year yet.
