Default A Mixed Bag

Hi Folks,

Fished a stretch of the River Colne here in West Yorkshire that I've not fished for the last couple of years since there was a pollution incident and subsequent large fish kill. Quite a mixed bag with these being amongst them.

A Small Coarse Fish

A Small Grayling

A Small Trout

Total catch return for the day was 2 chub, 4 grayling and 8 Trout, not bad for a mornings fishing.

That small chub looks more like a roach to me, especially looking at the size of the mouth.

Hi Folks,

Not being much of a course fisherman I'm not too sure still about the first fish but I'll go with dace as that seems to be the consensus of opinion.

I was fishing with a grittihs gnat (which caught the course fish), a gold head hares ear ( hich caught the grayling) and an elk and cdc (which caught the trout).

Cheers
