Default Identify these please...

Any of you lot fancy saving me the trouble of identifying these characters?

Fished Malham Tarn on Friday - Stiff wind, bright sun,and a pea soup of an algal bloom that reduced the viz to 3 ft ! .....Now how did you guess I was justifying the blank? Yup, not a tug all day,but I did manage to photograph these critters.....

The Beetle is about the size of yer middle fingernail, and the sedge is about 2cm. The butterfly is...well...err butterfly size.

No expert, but here's my stab ....

- a forest bug, a type of shieldbug
- a sedge, not sure which but I'll go for a sandfly
- a peacock

Think its what is fondly known as a stink bug or sheild bug, when handled and stressed they give off a pungent odour

Nice photos - what camera? Don't know about the bug or sedge but the butterfly is definitely a Peacock.

Here are two more to identify, both photos taken today on rivers. I think I know but would like second opinions.
