Anyone like to hazard a guess at how big this fish is? Certainly my biggest to date by some way

i'd hazard between 8-12lb.

'fraid not - it went back and I haven't been doing this fly fishing thing very long so I'm not much good at guessing the weight. Thanks for the guesstimates - I'll settle for 'over 5'

Put some small marks on your rod, say 13in 1lb 18in 2lb etc so you can guesstimate better next time
