Shocking.........

And that’s stockies for you...........well it is at that place. I don’t fish wild rivers, loughs, lochs etc, but the fish in the places I do, are never like that.

What enchanting creatures!

They certainly seem to be enjoying their walk.

I am sorry & I hope we do not get into the stockie v wild fish argument again but, these two sorry looking excuses for fish would be prime adverts for not stocking, Sorry mate I am not slating your win but those fish are something else. The Grafham ones are not much better by the way If some of you guys think that catching these is the anthesis of fly fishing then I feel really sorry for you & if that is the state of put & take fisheries at the moment I'm glad I do not partake, I really do.

The fish from Grafham at least have reasonable tails. Your ones from the Temple Final at least are better than the winners fish whose tails are non existent but still the ones you caught are seriously disfigured and are possibly the worst stocked fish I have ever seen with small heads and huge shoulders (sorry was trying to find a comparative human likeness but even that beats me). Please get yourself down to Garnffrwd in South Wales and see the quality of fish Jamie stocks from his own ponds. Full tailed long lean fighting machines. If you can't fish wild then his are the next best thing and for the prices he charges you'd be mad not to. I have no connection with the fishery or owner but credit where credit is due and he deserves praise and recomendation.

PS - Sorry I don';t have photos as I don't carry a camera but take my word and you won't be disappointed.
