Default River Test Brownies

On Tuesday evening, I had my last session on the Test for this year.

In two hours I managed to bank six brownies between 3.25lb and 5.25lb. Alas the fish weren't coming to dries and all were taken nymphing. Four of the fish were above 4.5lb. A really good way to end my Test season.

Here are pic's of the first fish I caught, at 4.25lb, and the largest at 5.25lb.

Nice fish. Are they wild or stocked fish?

They look very stocked to me, a wild Test fish looks quite different to those and even in the Test not many wild fish make those sort of weights.

Stockies, no different than those from a 1 acre put and take.

Think someone splashed some paint on your reel.

Tight Lines
PS must make mental note not to fish the Test.
Finest English Chalk Stream?....aye right.
