sorry just remember that this is a fly fishing forum and my method may not have been classed as the right way but what is the right way i still caught a really good fish and fairly i think so if any one wants to see the fish but not disscuss the way i caught it we will!!!!!! worm !!!!! the pics together.

if you caught it on the garden fly then fair enough sometimes conditions dictate what you use,a good fisher can adapt to conditions we cant always fish the fly as much as we may like too.

i pay my ticket every year for the last 3 years and this is only the second fish i have taken home from the river so i think we are all entitiled to a reward every now and then and now any i catch will be returned as i love the sport and the fish like the majority of us

You know 3lb'er I honestly think people are afraid to post pics here because of the ridicule they get if they have killed a fish. Every post I see of one for the pot has a comment "shame you had to kill it", in fariness let the guys alone they are not fish mongers. I prefer c&r but I do take some for the pot, its only natural and hardly damaging to take the odd one. Not like he had bags of fish with gaff marks.

I agree...one for the pot is hardly going to damage stocks in comparison to what the trawlers are taking....yes..what is that in your gob ?
