Default Yesterday on the Tummel

A few pictures from the Tummel final...sorry not many featuring fish since I missed Davie C.

Crackin photos'!

The river looks deeper than it obviously is!

Just a suggestion / request with regards unhooking the grayling, it's always nice to unhook them in the net in water as it causes them less stress, I can't see any reason to carry them up the bank or lay them on hard stones or rocks.

They have to be measured accurately before release, which would be difficult in the net in the water.

Just an ex demo Nikon D50 which I'm trying to get my head around. Have'nt quite got into double processing etc.

re: 2 rods ..some of the guys will carry 2 rods..1 with say dries... the other with nymphs. Saves time if you have 1 ready tho' you've got to remember its there!
re: guttering..inside the guttering is a cm scale to measure the fish since this is a catch and release competition. Before measuring the fish the controller wets the guttering to minimise damaging the fish. Then its carefully returned.
