The picture 8.5
The fly 8 .........could have done with some red or orange in the head area. Some flou orange floss under the mono and varnish/epoxy would have given the head a nice 'glow' ......which apparently is what the trout sees when a buzzer is rising in the water prior to hatching - literally a rush of blood to the head!
Nice work though, the proportions and profile are bob on for me, and a nice balance between realism and impressionism.

Cromie,,that looks the ''Dug's Danglies'',,very well tied !!!

I would give you a 9 out of 10,,i agree that it could do with a touch of colour at the head,,,,,but i really think this will do the business !!!! ,,lets us know how you get on with it !!!!

Cheers

Davie

Nice work, Cromie. Picture 8/10, buzzer 9/10 - would have been 10/10 if you had step by stepped it!

Not bad for your first attempt with Epoxy Cromie ,you'll get the hang of it though ,Get a Rotary fly dryer i got one this week and i am seeing the benefits already .Try goose biots in the cheeks Sunburst,Blood red ,fl orange, apple green.also stripped peacock eye gives a very nice segmented body ,Picture 8/10 fly 6/10.

Keep practising and you'll get there .
