There were loads of these stone flies knocking about and one of our party caught a 10lb+ rainbow on an imitation.







I did a fly swap with many of the forum members in preparation for this trip. Some of the patterns were absolutely fantastic and took many fish. There was one in particular unfortunately I managed to lose all three of the patterns, Doh! Anyway many thanks to all those who swapped flies with me, I will have to buckle down and start to tie the river patterns myself.

I dont remember you bragging on the forums around the time either,proper chap.That Rainbow reminds me of Jonah Luma (all blacks) and I bet it ran like him aswell.

I am really thinking about trying to get out to Slovenia in August / September. Your photos have strengthened my resolve ! WOW

Might have to go alone , where did you guys stay ? How was the fishing organised ? etc

Any recomendations would be gladly welcome

We were really luck and had a guy called Graham Lumsden who pretty much set the whole trip up you can read a bit about it here
