Had a couple of hours this afternoon on a new brown trout only water on the Bolton Abbey Estate. Had three fish all around the 3lb mark. All the fish were in fantastic condition. This one took a hopper off the top of the water, and the others took a daddy. Had to take this one because it was pricked, but it was a lovely fit fish.

None been pulled out like that at the part I fish !

Maybe not, but a mate had a 4 pounder in Cambuslang and I've had bigger fish than that well upstream. I put them back.

Nice to hear there are excellent quality fish at Bolton Abbey!

I play fish I am going to return very hard, this often causes the fish to jump. This one jumped three or four times and I got it in quick. However I have had some trout pushing 6 lbs out of the lake and even I can't rush fish that size.

where in Cambuslang ? Halfway ?
