Hiya.

The camera is a Canon Powershot A610.

My good lady took the pick as the fly sat on my casting arm. It sat there as I cast for 20-30 mins before I lifted it off my sleeve to go home.

Picture taken at Harlaw/Threipmuir in the Pentlands in Edinburgh.

My first blank this year.

Think I'll stick to rivers as I don't have a clue when it comes to rainbow lochs.

Tried buzzers, lures, hawthorns, dries and not a touch all afternoon.

Nice shot Esk, Harlaw can be difficult to fish, I have fished the water for a few years now.
I think it’s just a matter of finding the best area, the bottom part of the reservoir has always produced well for me, down by the where the it narrows out to a small stream.
If you follow the contours of the reso left of the keeper’s house it will take you into the area where the fish seem to hold up.

Don’t give up it can be very good, it also seems to fish better early evenings, and if all else fails just sit back and enjoy the magnificent views.
