Went fishing on Friday, managed a half day at work then went down to the river. Mayflies were coming off the water every half an hour or so, and whilst the fish didn't seem to be actively rising to them they certainly took the mayfly pattern I was fishing with much gusto! Had an excellent afternoon finishing with about ten fish(excluding the numerous rudd) from a small 4 inch chap right through to one about a pound and a quarter.
First fish of the day(Don't worry he was only out for a few seconds!)
And here is is sulking after I put him back before he dashed off for cover!
And the last one of the day, which I kept for the missus tea! Looks like someone had a go at him before I caught him.
