What's the idea of the spinning tackle Ryan? This is a flyfishing forum. If you are going to catch and kill a bunch of stockies, at least do it by flyfishing.

Hmmmmmmmm........................................

It's worth opening up their innards when you clean them, Ryan - see what they've been eating. Helps make a bit more sense of what the things you tie on the end of your line are all about.

I don't keep very many fish - but when I do I usually have a peek inside.

(they do look better alive though, don't you think? )

Come on guys - I'm guessing that Ryan does not have much experience, and is probably young - so a bit harsh to have a go like that.

It's a start, Ryan - well done on catching the fish. I know lots of guys prefer to see river brownies returned, so it is something to think about in future - unless you want to take one or two for the pot, which in my view is more than acceptable. Keep going, don't lose heart!
