Default first good fish of the season

After a rather slow start i managed to get this beauty yesterday evening - last knockings after a very long and bite free day - lost its twin about 5 minutes earlier so thought it was all over but three casts later...

swam away strongly and it made my day - you dont get many like this but they are worth the wait.

Cracking fish.

What fly did he take and if not on the surface what sort of depth?

cracking fish jan,never thought you'd need an depth finder(eh) on shetland.

thanks, i caught it in 6" of water on a clear slow glass and that well known traditional loch style trout fly.
