Here is one of eight I had on the River Usk in Gwent today,amazing fishing.



it took a size 18 black shuttleock and had me to the backing on a shallow glide, twice, my heart was in my throat with the small hook and three pound leader. It happily swam away after the photo and there for someone else to enjoy.

Congrats Spy1. What a superb fish, simply beautiful. I'd like to see one or two like that in the Monnow

Hi Moonlight, its a Greys Platinum which I dyed myself for demo's, I have also dyed them Olive which I prefer in clear water on rivers, I do know that Hardy's are bringing out a new line matched to the rods, but have not tried one yet. In the main I use the Mach 2 lines / the Platinum and also not to forget the Snowbee Prestige, they are all good and on parr with one another, I'm also a favourite of the Scientific Anglers lines.

Great fish there, sounds like you had a great day, I am envious.
