Hi SB,

So it was you who stood almost alone in the catch returns!

My Pal and I fished Draycote all day from a boat...both blanked and so did most others. The odd fish caught..I had a few tugs..one I should have had but I wasn't paying attention

The hatch was amazing, as you say. We tried buzzers of all descriptions and sizes, damsels ditto and just about everything else you could think of.

Draycote can be merciless when it's hot and still like that..it worries me that we are getting weather like this in April. Today was like one of those awful days in August.

royvs i don't know how close to the banks you got, but did you see the blue green algae around the edges?
as you say more like august than april.
im wondering weather i should disinfect my waders and all the gear i used to day.
do you or anyone else know weather blue green alge can cross contaminate
and what afect it has on the water?
SB

Yes...horrible stuff and normally arrives much later in the year. Now you've mentioned it I'll certainly wash my lines just in case.
