Thumbs down My weekend

Heres a brief photo diary of my weekend, I didn't go quite to plan!

First off I headed down to try out a new bit of the Wylye.
The river was massive but running quite clear so we managed a couple of grayling and an out of season trout.

I got to finally try my waterproof camera, pretty scarey putting a perfectly good camera underwater!

Then we went to collect an ambulance given to us by a mate. As you can see its been off the road for a couple of years. The plan was to do it up with rod racks and wader racks etc, then take it round Slovenia in July.

Lack of break fluid amongst other problems meant we couldn't tow it the 20 miles home. After a few hours we had it up on the trailer.

5 minutes down the road it gets into a wobble and disaster strikes! Thank god nobody was hurt.

On the look out for another van

What a weekend, I thought my Saturday wasn't very good, as I had to come back from fishing early, but nothing compared to yours, was every body OK

Sorry about the disaster fuzzy wuzzy. As long as nobody was hurt it is not so bad. I was following the thread down to where you mentioned putting rod racks etc. in it, and going to Slovakia. I thought I was going to see the ambulance freshly painted, and kitted out for your trip.
Look on the bright side, perhaps the next one you get will be in better nick,
I sincerely hope you do get fixed up for the holiday.
