Looks tremendous, lucky man........but what is wrong with people on this forum
a fat ugly rainbow from some man made stewpond produces more feedback than the more challenging aspect of fishing as above

I for one find this very strange, and its not the first time i have come accross
this on here.

I am not much of a salmon fan, but the river looks fantastic.I take it there are grayling and trout or charr there in the river too?

It was real middle of nowhere stuff. The river is the mighty Varzuga and yes it holds grayling, trout, pike, even a few perch & dace! Im not sure if charr can be found in the river but they are definitely in the lakes. Plus of course huge numbers of Grilse, all of which were chunky and strong ranging from about 16lb to as small as 3! There are also pacific salmon I think but they run the river at a different time of year and are netted as a pest.
