pete,i know that it was starting to get a wee run of seatrout,but any news about salmon.

I don't know Jim ,that pic was in Muiravonside park and I am not sure if sea trout/salmon would get up the weir at the aquaduct(they would at present mind you)I could find out from some of the Linlithgow boys maybe.

I just thought that the river is usually very sedate at that section and it looked lovely and angry yesterday,it was only on my camera phone so pics could be better.

strange to think that the headwaters are up in cumbernauld at fannyside moor.

We used to go fishing for wee trout up past Slamannan when we were kids,tales of monsters(probably3/4 lb) drew us there!Did manage to catch the odd wee trout but usually 3 to the pound Lol.great fun when your only ten.

hi jim, hope your back is holding up! Stephen has seen parr whilst fishing the part of the river below avonbridge heading towards muiravonside park. it is a nice stretch down into the park.

Was down the Avon today fixing stairs on the Aquaduct staircase that some wee Neds had broken, What's the score for permits for this water? Can you fish the whole streatch of the river or are their beats on it owned by clubs? as there are signs at designated points, How much ect. Anybody any info?
